1Lt John Ellis

John Ellis is the Squadron Commander.  His other duties include Information Technologies Officer, Transportation Officer, Administrative Officer, Personnel Officer, Professional Development Officer, Web Security Administrator, and Squadron Webmaster.  Outside of CAP, he is a mechanic for a New Holland Farm Implement store in Columbus City, IA and an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America.  John has been with the squadron since 12 Dec 2008.

Maj. Robert Hoxie

Bob Hoxie is the Safety Officer.  Outside of CAP, he works for Trailways as a Safety Officer.  Bob has been with the squadron since 15 Apr 2003.

Maj. Terry Vance

Terry Vance is the Squadron Chaplain and Finance Officer.  Outside of CAP, he is a Minister for the 1st Nazarene Church in Burlington.  Terry has been with the squadron since 4 Sept 2002.

Capt. William Johnson

Bill Johnson was the Squadron Commander, but stepped down so he could pursue a new job in the St. Louis, MO area.  He will be missed.  He is still part of the squadron for now.  Bill has been with the squadron since 16 Nov 2005.

Capt. David Beckman

David Beckman is the Legal Officer. David provides legal advice for the squadron and has been associated with the squadron for many years. He joined CAP on 4 Feb 2005. Outside of CAP, David is a pilot and has a Legal Office in downtown Burlington.

Capt. Paul Klees

Paul Klees is the Emergency Services Officer, Communications Officer, and Testing Officer.  Paul is a welder and is retired from the Navy and has been with us since 6 Apr 2005.

1Lt. Michele Klees

Michell Klees is the Health Services Officer and Supply Officer.  Outside of CAP she is a Retired Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).  Michele has been with us since 6 Apr 2005.

1Lt. David Waldorf

David Waldorf has stepped down from Squadron Commander. Outside of CAP, he is a Ham Radio operator and a storm spotter. David is also a retired social worker.  This is the second time he has been with the squadron.  David originally joined on 1 Dec 1971.

2Lt. Carol Hinkle

Carol Hinkle has taken a Leave of Absense but is still part of the squadron for now.  Outside of CAP, she is an Office Manager for Farm Bureau in Wapello, IA and is an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America.  Carol has been with the squadron since 8 October 2008.

FO Jessie Wail

Jessie Wail started as a cadet and has since transitioned to Senior Member status.  Her duties include Squadron Activities Officer and Aerospace Education Officer. Outside of CAP, she is a student at Southeastern Community College.  Jessie has been with the squadron since 26 Sept 2008.

Col. Sheila Waldorf

(Honorary member)

Sheila Waldorf is an Honorary member of the squadron.  She is officially assigned to the North Central Region.  Sheila originally started in CAP as a cadet in this squadron.  Since then, she has been a Iowa Wing commander and then a North Central Region Commander.  We are happy to have her come to our meetings and share her wealth of knowledge with us.  Sheila has been with CAP for 50 years.
